Woodcut Printing Workshop - July 13th, 12 - 4pm

Woodcut Printing Workshop - July 13th, 12-4 (with printer David Farrar)

Join us for this exploration of woodcut printing - learn, create and take home your own woodcut and printed work!

In this 4 hour workshop you will learn how to carve your own hand drawn design into a sheet of specialist Asian Plywood using traditional tools and print from it.

We will demonstrate how to use the various tools to simplify objects into bold shapes, suggest tone through pattern and describe finer details using line.

This workshop is perfect for beginners or those taking a step up from Lino printing.

All materials are supplied, as well as aprons; attendees are encouraged to bring images they would like to use or sketches as inspiration
