We are delighted to host Sue Howat's  "Gouache & Indian Ink Resist ~ Landscape & Bookmark Class/Workshop" on Sunday 29th June 2025 10.30 - 3.30
 
A dynamic and engaging full day course running from 10.30 - 3.30, teaching watercolour & Indian ink resist technique.  Gouache and Indian ink are combined using an "ink resist" technique, where gouache and ink are used to create a woodblock print-like effect. 
Suitable for total beginners or more experienced artists who may want to add another technique into their practice.
Sue will take everyone through each step & help you create a piece of work unique to you, your inspirations, and your own personal style. 
Participants will come away with 2 small landscapes & a bookmark.
All materials are included.
 
Sue Howat is a mixed media artist with a passion for colour working from her home farm in Ayrshire.  Her primary medium at the moment is a watercolour & Indian ink resist technique that gives a printerly & vintage effect to her pieces.  She creates a range of original art on various surfaces including cradled wood boards using mediums such as watercolour & Indian Ink, cold wax & acrylics, collage & Collagraph prints.  Sue regularly exhibits throughout Scotland and is a skilled & experienced teacher of a variety of mediums.

(snacks, nibbles and a social atmosphere will be provided; there will be a lunch break and you can bring your own lunch or buy something locally!)
