Saskia Pomeroy
“Life is for exploring, for diving into. I want to enjoy the process, and I want to FEEL each artwork as I make it.”
Saskia Pomeroy graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2007 and is constantly exploring the relationship between colour, texture and shape to create dynamic, textural, thoughtful works. She creates beautifully abstract pieces that we love at Grinn Arts&Design!
“I like quite a traditional style of throwing, so it’s finding a nice balance between traditional decoration and something more abstract.”

Homewares/Textiles
Approachable Earth
Approachable Earth started with one turnip wrapped in plastic. Appalled at this overuse of plastic for one single turnip, Andrea (based in Stirlingshire) began making fruit/veggie product bags, shopping kits, lunch kits, sandwich wraps, salad bags, waxed wraps and rounds, tote bags, and re-useable cosmetic pads.
And then, after a family trip to Harris/Lewis, she started designing and creating handbags and purses made from only sustainable materials: natural materials such as wool, silk, cotton and linen; buttons made out of wood, clay or shell; ties and labels made from recycled cotton.
Approachable Earth is committed to using natural materials to create items to love and use every day. Recognising how essential it is to use products that are sustainable, re-useable, recyclable, and compostable – Approachable Earth products are created with this ethos in mind.

Gilly B Designs - Isle of Luing
Sustainably made, inspired by Scottish seas.
"My work is influenced by islands and the sea. I have been an island dweller for most of my adult life, though not born to one, it is where I feel most at home. For the past 8 years I have lived aboard a 43ft sailing boat, mostly in Shetland, but, also for a year in Norway.
I make work about this life experience, on the sea and by the sea, watching people and creatures living on the edges in this most Northern Isle of the U.K looking out towards our Scandinavian neighbours.
I like to draw and sketch from life, this inspires the things I make and makes me aware and care for my environment."

Art Glass
Aye Glass
Situated in Ayrshire, Glass Artist Angus Corbett, handcrafts unique and bespoke fused glass artworks and fine art originals/prints.
Glass art designs are created by layering different pieces of hand-cut glass on top of a piece of base glass. A firing of up to 1600 degrees causes the glass to soften and partially melt, fusing the pieces together. The glass is then slowly cooled to become strong and stable – making a decorative and/or useful piece for your home.
